Wall I · The Impulse
Something wants to be made
Before language, before form, before anyone has agreed on what it is. A pressure with no shape yet — the itch, the daemon, the thing that will not let its maker sleep.
Every world you have ever lived inside started here: sealed, unreadable, and held by exactly one person.
Wall II · The Script
The impulse gives up a dimension
To travel, it must flatten — into score, text, storyboard, blueprint. Benjamin’s bargain: the work surrenders its aura, its unrepeatable here-and-now, and receives in exchange the ability to be carried by people who were never there.
Wall III · Time & Place
The aura is repaid
A room. A date. A threshold. A duration nobody can pause. The flat thing is re-embodied and becomes singular again: this night, these bodies, this weather.
A circle is drawn. Inside it different rules apply, and everyone present has agreed to them.
Wall IV · The Audience
Without witness it is only rehearsal
The event is not finished on the stage. It is finished in the room, across the gap, in the second person.
Which means the work is never one thing. It is as many things as there are people holding it.
Wall V · The Exchange
The membrane goes permeable
Spectators become participants and the ending stops being decided in advance. Boal called them spect-actors. We call it risk.
Once an audience can act, a script can hold the shape of a world. It can no longer hold the outcome.
Wall VI · Cult → Culture
The play world does not stop at the door
The sixth wall is where a fiction stops being contained by the theatre and begins organising the street. Cultus — a thing tended — tended by enough people, for long enough, that it becomes the ground everyone else stands on.
Money, nation, market, faith. Every one of them was a play world that won.
Sixth Wall Productions
We work on the sixth wall
Most theatre stops at the third or the fourth. We build for the one past the exit — where people carry a world home and begin living inside it.
This is not a metaphor, and it is not an accident. It is a craft, and it can be practised on purpose.
What we make · 01
Ritual theatre
Original works built as rites rather than shows. Threshold, ordeal, return — the dramaturgy of an actual transformation instead of a depiction of one.
You leave altered, or we have not finished the piece.
What we make · 02
Immersive worlds
Environments an audience enters instead of observes. Every surface, sound, rule and role in service of one coherent world — built to stay coherent under the weight of real people improvising inside it.
What we make · 03
Story partnership
For projects, movements and organisations already building something real. We find the myth already latent in the work and make it enterable — so the world you are trying to bring about can be felt by people before it exists.
